Christine Headley Publishing Services (CHPS)

An indexer since 1990, Christine is also an experienced copyeditor and proofreader. She uses Macrex, dedicated software for indexers.

Christine has also written and published Sound the Trumpet: Alfred Deller, Stour Music and the Early Music Revival, available here

She has an Open University honours degree in music, Renaissance history, 14th-century Italian art, Latin, social science and urban studies in addition to an earlier London University external degree in German, Russian and law. She also has experience of local government at London borough, district and parish council level. In 2023-24 she refreshed her knowledge of German with an Open University course (L113); in 2024-2025 she completed a science access course (Y033) with a view to embarking on a BSc degree in Environmental Science, starting with Environment: Journeys through a Changing World (U116). For relaxation, she travels in German-speaking countries - in May/June 2025 she cycled 500 miles along the Rhine from Konstanz to Cologne - and watches Kent play county cricket.

Christine is semi-retired but is happy to work on small projects making use of her skills. She is Chief Copyeditor for the Ricardian Bulletin, a quarterly magazine for members of the Richard III Society.
